Looking good! Herb you may want to reverse your top front shock bolts. If you ever want to change your front shocks or springs after you are done you would have to remove radiator or loosen all the brackets up. With the bolts reversed it it is easy for front shock work down the road. Just my 2-cents worth. I really like that yellow color.

Not much done on the truck, waiting on parts , but man its been very hot and the humidity is very high. So I spent tons of cash installing climate control in my garage ! Took days to install !
Got a bunch done today
installed engine
installed headers - VERY tight fit but the made it ,the forth pic shows how close the headers are to the frame 3/8 inch clearance ?
installed tranny - have to make new tranny mounts they don't fit the chevy T350 , on the second pic you can see that the T350 tranny is not even close to the mount ,the reason it is to short is that the chevy engine has to move forward about 3 1/2 inches so ff make a plate that bolts onto the block and move the engine forward., thus make the tranny 3 1/2 short of the mount. but not big deal will make up a new mount plate.
Hey Herb, the firewall looks great! Who did the engine turning? That engine bay gets 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up!
Thanks Dave , I did the turning. I used 3m pads on the 2 inch in my drill press , marked out with a sharpie . only took about one hour , I am very happy with the way it turned out , thanks Herb
well I am thinking about removing the roll cage ( just the front and top sections and leaving only the roll bar on the back not sure I like the look of it . Any thoughts would be good.

Is there anywhere high and up front that the cab attaches to the cage for support?
That cab looks pretty tall and with the fiberglass body and front hinged doors I would be worried
about cab shake at speed changing how the doors fit the body and rubbing away some paint.

Herb, the early kits just got the 33 side exhaust. You will have to modify that pipe so it exits under the bed pointing down. That is why I had some custom stuff done. If you look in the Beta manual you will see what I mean.

Well making a little progress. I am using copper tubing for many of the lines in the engine bay, overflow line , gas line, also will use copper for the heating lines.
going old school with a mechanical fuel pump.
For the wise observer you might notice that the alternator is now on the passenger side and not on the drivers side where I first put it, when it was on the drivers side it stuck past the engine compartment so it had to be moved. IMG_1108.jpgIMG_1109.jpg IMG_1110.jpg.IMG_1111.jpg

Tom well that kinda stinks , I guess I will talk to tony and see what they can do . If not I guess I will reconfigure it , Thanks again ,Herb
Actually I asked FFR about the pipes to bring the exhaust behind the cab shown in the manual and they will be supplying them to builders soon.

2018 FFR 35 Pick Up, building, getting there.
Thanks for that good news on the pipes. I want them out the side also.
I did get a package from FFR yesterday with some new emergency brake components. Evidently there have been some changes there from the '33 parts, which I got with the kit. The toothed bracket is shorter and has some new attachment brackets.
Now, if I could just get the threaded shock adjusters.
