Wow, that is a nice, large cubby. I'm about to do mine and was only thinking of a box the width of the distance between the two inboard roll bar mounts but pretty deep, basically filling in where the battery would sit if I were not dropping it into a box. This has me thinking of some other options. Thanks for sharing.

Lowrod,
Looking really good. I'm actually working on a similar cubby. I got the idea at the Huntington Beach Rally.

I did similar on my old MkII but I left the 3/4x3/4 tube in place. You can't put as large a solid object in there but it works fine to throw in a folded up coat, hat etc.
FFR MkII, 408W, Tremec TKO 500, 2015 IRS, DA QA1s, Forte front bar, APE hardtop.
Coat/hat storage was the idea, I bent a length of 3/4 tubing to match the body arch. It was then welded just behind the body rolled edge of the rear cockpit. I plan on adding two metal plates to support driver and passenger seat belts.

Love your cubby.
I added a locking access panel to the Breeze cubby kit. While the door is a little small, it won't interefere with the seats.

This is a must have with my wife!
On line at Boat Outfitters.
I removed the white tub to give me access to the Breeze cubby, although leaving it on gives you a nice small compartment. The tub comes off by removing a couple of screws.
