The 2016 mustang outer cv boots do not fit, to big.
Can't help with the boot size but I did recall seeing the CV boots fail on another IRS setup. Cross over to the 65 Coupe and look at what John George did on his white #48 He was suggesting putting Zip Ties in the groves of the boots. apparently they must expand at speed. about half way down on his site he shows the boot failure, temporary fix and the suggested fix.

Hope that helps

Found site that gave boots by size, ended up with boot for a toyota t-100. A.L.O. cv boot kit 1318 but was told they are out of business. Looked like GM K1500 or DODGE Ram 1500 maybe work, but did not have one to look at.
Built suicide door pins, no more worrying about doors coming open at any speed! IMG_8186.JPGIMG_8187.JPGIMG_8188.JPGIMG_8189.JPGIMG_8191.JPGIMG_8194.JPGIMG_8199.JPG

Made my alinement time this time, i had it fair close but very much better now. So one more thing off the list.
Hi Tom, Re: Alignment............
What values did you end up using? Is yours Power Steering or Manual?
Thanks,
Tom
We used shelby-shelby R mustang values. Power steering, have 265/35/19 on front so need the power.
The person i used has been doing this for a lot of years on custom cars up to big rigs, an old time shop.

Worked on door tops & window, got one 95% done.IMG_8202.JPGIMG_8203.JPGIMG_8207.JPGIMG_8208.JPGIMG_8209.JPG
Good day--got my certificate of sequence in the mail and went for a drive with wife. She was happy with the windows and ac working!
Will make appointment at BAR referee and see about my TIN (the chp would not do VIN until BAR approved engine)
Hi Tom, How's the fresh alignment feel on the road? I looked at the Cobra R numbers and they're not too far off of what I ended up using - other than Caster, since my car has manual steering.
Congratulations on the Wife Approval, too!
Tom V.
Put some miles and car is feels good, went to some corners and o'boy will need to work up to very fast!
Built hood hold downs, to replace faucet handlesIMG_8216.JPGIMG_8219.JPGIMG_8225.JPGIMG_8227.JPG!
How do they work?

After a prelim at bar for them to say car would pass BAR if it had a VIN. Went and got VIN# today, officer Nokes was nice and we got done!!
Back to butte college tomorrow to get inspection done. After two & 1/2 months to get VIN , BAR tomorrow then brack & light on tuesday.
looks like they will work pretty well.
I just realized they are V8 emblems something like the old Ford V8 emblems, cool!

Going to get light & brake to day then DMV. Had to get red tail lins- N0 blue dot in ca.
Bar went good, but the chp did not put number on paper work, soo on more trip to chp to get that. Then back to bar to final. It is a good drive.IMG_8231.JPG
Son and i have wanted to do tig so this was on saleIMG_8232.JPG need a lot more work to have good weld!
Nice welder, practice, practice, practice
Got some partsIMG_8236.JPGIMG_8238.JPGIMG_8239.JPG one standard other reverse.
Yes tig is going to be practice.
Want to get light & brake done on 4th-then get plates be for taking apart to work on this. I have over 1500 miles on permit.
Done with all the paper work, got light & brake done and went to dmv. Need to wait for them to send plates and pink in mail!!
Congrats on getting through all of that. Ohio is so much easier. I had the inspection done, title and plates all in one day at the same location. I did have to go back to have the VIN plate installed 4-5 weeks later. But was legal to drive from the inspection date.

Now going to start on the turbo project!
Air to water intercoolers, witch companies make good ones? Looking at CR, but would like one about 4T x 10W x 8L + tank ends.
You could find a used lower intake from a GT500 etc (supercharged coyote, with a built-in intercooler) then fab an upper with a small plenum and throttlebody (or buy one of the several available) that just bolts on top of the SC lower intake.
Or... MMR has a sheetmetal intake with a built-in intercooler - not a bad price either, considering.
Or... I think someone is making an intercooler to go inside the Holley Sniper intake - but I can't seem to find it right now.

Gen1.5 Hot Rod '33 #1094 (Stage 1) - 302/AOD '15 IRS - Quad Built - Build Thread
Worked on taking front apartIMG_8241.JPGIMG_8243.JPG more to take apart and then on to working out putting it together!
Intake off my A50XSIMG_8246.JPGIMG_8247.JPGIMG_8248.JPG
I built it out of a 5 inch cast 90. I am going to twin turbos so this intake will go to a new home. Good used is half of new!
The MAF housing is 123 mm.
OK going with boss intake for boost. Talked to tuner and they have been there and the cj does not play good with boost!
This project is taking more money & work than i planned on to start, yes-yes i know what is new about that! So any way i am going with AED on tuning and help with parts i need for this to work good! Have turbos, ordered air to water intercoolers and heat exchanger from C&R,will run two pumps so both coolers get the same water temp. still looking for stock boss intake and TB. Will move oil heater-cooler-filter from front to DS low firewall. Three inch exhaust to exit in front of rear fender, outside of running board. Well need to get some work done!
Well finally got some hot rod work done, weld bungs and turbo drain fittings on and pan back on.IMG_8250.JPGIMG_8251.JPG
Learning TIG and first time building headers with NO room is a challenge IMG_8252.JPGIMG_8254.JPG
The two outsides go up and two inside go down.
Back to working on headers, i don't see any way to tack headers up with out being on engine in car! So will keep ground close to weld. But it does make me nervous.
Hmmm. Maybe buy a spare chassis for mockup?? If your concerned about stray current put something like an inner tube or electrical tape between the header flange and the header and use fiberglass threaded rod for fasteners. Always ground on the tube your welding. Have someone else with a fire extinguisher nearby. I hate welding on the car. I have built Faux frames on Mopar K-frames to do headers, but, this is not an option here. This is the second thread I've seen a need for a thin wall front frame mock up on one of these. Maybe we could talk FFR into welding up a few mock up fronts for these and then once a few are out there we just post them for sale as we finish??
