    Coyote/TR3650 ???????

    Good afternoon,

Hopefully ordering a Roadster kit by the end of the month so I have ALOT of planning to finish.

How easy will it be to use a TR3650 with a coyote?

Why am I thinking TR3650, glad you aksed.... Please correct me where I am wrong.

The main reason- I think i'll save money.
I see plenty of used ones under $1000 vs the TKO600 $2500.
I wont need to use a bell housing (savings of $600)

    my concerns...
have not seen alot of info on this which means its not common.
driveshaft - the one that comes with the kit may be too short? need a custom
other guesswork of not having part list already made.

Thanks in advance! look forward to hearing from you all.

Should bolt right up to the coyote. Just be sure you have the correct clutch disc to mate to the trans. I thinks it’s 22 spline. Driveshaft should work too. I have done it... but it was a few years ago.
    Rear mount will work too.

It’s a ***** to get out without pulling the motor... I can tell you that too.

Thanks in advance! look forward to hearing from you all.
    Should work fine

    Thanks for the response-
What Rear mount are you speaking of? The driveshaft?

Is that also what is difficult to get to without pulling the motor?

And there you have it from the guy who has built more Coyote powered FFRs than anyone...some of which have 3650s.

Rear trans mount will work . The one FFR supplies fits the TKO/T5/Automatics and will fit the 3650 too.

The trans is very difficult to get out without pulling the motor.

    FFinsher,

Thank you. When you say correct clutch disc/spline you're referring to the input shaft correct? I want to make sure I am looking at the same thing. Everything I see says the TR3650 is has a 10 spline input shaft.

The above is what youre referring to, correct?

    Thanks again!

    That's the wrong tr3650.
You need a 03-04 with a cable clutch.

The one in the picture is a 05+ with a hydraulic trowout bearing and a remote shifter. It won't work.

The 03-04 tr3650 is the same fitment as the tko except with a 10 spline clutch.

Thanks. Where do you guys find the info of what matches what? I can barely match my socks. Lol.

ThatÂ’s off of a thread on here where someone used an 05+ With a coyote. IÂ’ve reached out to him, but heÂ’s been inactive for a while.

as said above you need the 3650 from a mustang 99-04 i think. the trans from a 96-98 mustang will also work but is a t45 and not as strong. You need a 10 spline clutch disc and an 8 bolt flywheel for the coyote.
