I’m not so impressed with what I’ve heard and seen about the Lucas type wipers and am leaning toward marine wipers. Anyone done this? Thoughts, cautions, advice. Thanks.

Yup. That’s exactly it. Think it’ll work?
Yes, I think it will work; however, with two units installed it will likely look goofy when they get out of phase while on.
You will need to devise a mounting system to keep the motor from torquing, but it is obviously doable.

Go to the other forum and look up the write up that my buddy John Phillips did on his marine wipers way back around 2001. I think it got condensed and moved to the FAQ section.

Here is the thread. IMHO the Lucas setup works just fine when installed properly. You will also need the synchronizer to make the marine wipers work properly but you probably already know that.

Thanks to you gentlemen. That’s much better than I could have hoped for.
Sorry, can't let this one go. Remember Janis Joplin doing Bobby McGee? "Windshield wipers slapping time..."? Here's the deal: I was really intimidated by installing the FFR wipers. I was going to let it slide and let Kleiner install them. I bit the bullet and did it myself. Do they work? Yes. Do they work well? Really - who cares? I hope to never need them!
That said - please don't overthink wipers. You can install whatever wipers you want and it won't really make that much difference. Also, consider this is from someone who has yet to be caught in the rain... Nevertheless, take the path of least resistance, please.
