Fuel line routing

So I decided to run 3/8 line and AN 6 front to back. AN flex at the front, hard line in the middle, and hose at the rear.

Here’s the lines attached to the Sniper and heading back to the firewall.

Nice work! I did a similar setup with the AN in the front and a combination of AN and hose in the back, this made for easy maintenance for the fuel pump and all underneath.

Looks great, but I would suggest separating the hard lines. Using the side by side lamps for example or even just using zip-ties, just something to keep them from rubbing against each other. It won't take much time, vibration, and road grit to wear a hole in a hard line. It'd be sad to see your car go up in flames because of a hole in a fuel line.

Peter, I would suggest you rotate the tank outlet on top so your lines face more toward the front. With the body on you will have no way to get to those lines from the trunk or by removing the waterfall. I never thought I would have to fool with mine but I have ended up pulling the tank several times in the build process. You'll want to be able to check those fittings from the front. Otherwise it's looking great.

If the lines face front, then they poke through the waterfall. I’m planning to make the waterfall removable anyway for service of the fuel pump and filters. Once the roll bar and top is in place, I’ll need to get back there anyway. I think I will trip the body flange in that area to give me a little more room.

Peter, whose braided hoses are you using? I assume you are custom fabricating each one. Whose tool are you using to attach fittings to hose? Where did you purchase these items. I am building the 35 truck and working on fuel line routing. These photos are very helpful!

AJT, I am building 35 Truck. Whose flexible hoses are you using? If you are making up each piece of hose, what tool are you using to connect fitting to hose.

The F5 braided hose is available as summits private label. The OEM is out of Florida.

Some braided hose came with the Factory Five Fuel Injection kit. Another length came with the Holley Sniper provided with the Blueprint engine. The ends were purchased from Summit. It all went together without any special tools.

Hey there, the braided hoses (https://www.racetronix.biz/storeitem...e%2Drubber)and the AN end fittings I got from Racetronix, https://racetronix.com/products/, all the ends are slip on and tighten (https://www.racetronix.biz/storeitems.asp?cc=fitting), the only tool I bought is the wrench and the clamps for the vise (https://www.racetronix.biz/storeitems.asp?cc=fit%2Dtool) so as not to mar the fittings themselves as they are aluminum.

For the heater hose, I used regular 5/8" rubber hose and added on a braided cover, I also had the proper size shrink tube to help clean up the ends as well. Basically used what I had and tried to make it look better without spending a ton of money. The bulkhead fittings are real convenient for going through the firewall.
