There is a black plug in the outlet connection of the KRC power steering pump, am I supposed to remove it?
I had a KRC pump on my car (sold the car). Are you sure it's a plug and not an orifice?
On my pump you could install fittings with different sized orifices to adjust the amount of power assist.
Sold September 2019: 46.5K-mile Mk 1 with a Blueprint 347, Sniper EFI, 3-Link with VPM Rear Sway Bar, Power Steering with Hydroboost Brakes, Under Car Exhaust, Rear Fender Flares
Received July 2024: MK4 complete kit with IRS and 15" wheels
I’m not sure what it is. It's rubber and protrudes about an 1/8" below the male connection. I have a leak at that point and I'm thinking that may be the culprit. I am afraid to tighten the connection much more.
I have a KRC pump on my car, can you post a picture of what you are referring too?
Build#1: MKIV Roadster #9320
It was a small black plug on the outlet line, I removed it and all is well.
