    Suspension Noise

I've got about 150 miles on my car due to great winter weather in CA. I have a noise coming from the rear of the car that I cannot isolate but I believe is somewhere in the suspension. It is like a little bell ringing. Sort of a tinkle when I am on a rough road. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

    Thanks in advance. Joel

You may have tried this already, but have you looked at all fasteners for the suspension and mounts? What about the ebrake linkage/cables? Maybe its hitting a drive shaft loop or part of the frame when not under tension.

    Joel,

I had a rattle that turned out to be the gas tank cover against the tank. I stuffed some felt in along the front facing edge of the cover and the noise is gone.

Thanks Dave and Geoff, I have checked and rechecked everything under the car and just cannot find a thing. It's almost like there is something loose making a little tinkling sound. Think it might be something in the coilovers? BTW.....I've driven the car now 1500 miles not 150 as the first post indicated. Will be 65 degrees here and clear today, and I will put a few more miles on. Joel
