Awesome thanks GodadGo. The video was good, bodywork is coming along. I'll be using Rage Gold then. Heard good stuff about it. Bondo brand sucks.

What about when you grind down seams where the body pieces are joined. You end up with sr omen voids and pinholes. Is there Anything special to fill those or just use the body filler?

I've been using EverGlass wherever strength is needed or the voids are big. Then once the rough shape is there, using Rage Gold to top it off...

Ok. Thank you Steve. I'll do that. Wasn't sure if body filler would lift out of the void areas over time.

I've been using Evercoats Fibertech on any voids which is similar to Everglass.
I actually find it is easier to work with than the Rage Gold.
It's expensive, but it worked well on my doors.
It also worked well on filling voids.

So godadgo you used fibettech to fill the tops of your doors? Mine will need a quarter inch thick coat to even them out.20200223_143446.jpg

On the top of your doors a layer or two of fiberglass mat would probably be my choice & then smoothed out with either the Rage or Fibertech.
On the tops of my doors where they meet the cowl I only used the Fibertech and nothing else.
On the underside of the door where I split it the drivers door, I filled the crack with Fibertech, then l laid Fiberglass Mat and smoothed it out with the Rage Gold.
I don't think I needed to fill the crack with the Fibertech, but I had the stuff so I used it.
Also, fiberglass work I'm way better at which is why I probably like like the Fibertech product.
Hope this helps, but please understand that I'm a Newbee to bodywork.

The door tops weren’t bad with short strand filler.... I’m using evercoat. Did a junk door, today. Thickest spot is,about 1/16"

Yeah. This seam in the hot rod is stupid...... they could’ve hidden it.

Sethmark,
Your pics are extremely helpful because my pal David E. is building a Gen-2 Hotrod.
Our friend The Sam Man will be handling 90% of the body work on his car too.
Sammy feels like we are over paying him; however, we feel his knowledge is well worth it.
We are learning so much while working as Sir Sammy's over the hill helpers.

I learned a lot on that door. The need to manage the mess being the biggest thing. I need to tape off the door so that I don’t get unnecessary filler everywhere. Additionally, I probably would’ve been better off having the door on a fixture as opposed to loose on the table.

My door needed a little more at front and back. Maybe 1/8 or a little more.
Rage gold is good. Bit for the final work, i prefer 3m platinum plus. It fills pinholes a little better, I find. But it takes longer to cure. If I had both available locally, and less time to allow it to set, I’d do the major work with rage, then the final skim with platinum plus. I’d lay it up and let it cure overnight then take down next morning.
