    06 Forester?

I'm not new on the forum as I have Roadster FFR7622. But I am interested in the 818 C. Can an 06 Forester be used as a donor or not practical? It's a very well kept car and in great shape all around. Thanks for any responses. Nick C

Bobncincy did it (with an 04?). I think some of the suspension parts won't work. Have a look here....

I used an 04 FXT for my first 818 and an 05 FXT for my second.
The only suspension part the is different is the bushings for the front lower control arms. The ones that mount near the firewall.
I went with the FXT because they were 1/2 the price of an wrx.

    Here is a picture of my second donor. 31873375_02X.jpg 31873375_03X.jpg 31873375_07X.jpg 31873375_08X.jpg

    All else works.
The FXT comes with Cast iron calipers, the same as Impreza. I think the wrx might have Brembo brakes.

A 2006 might have an immobilizer. Check on that, if so try to get a 2005.

    Hello again
Is there any chance an ‘02 Forester might work?
I know it’s not on the spreadsheet, but I’m hoping someone here could confirm yes or no.
    Thanks

I don't know if you can get a 02 forester with a turbo.
If you don't want a turbo, I would go with a 06 o07 Impreza normally aspirated.

Ok, thank you. I’m not as concerned about a turbo, but the ‘02 Forester I have my eye on is very low money and looks usable (it took a front hit but maybe not bad enough to render the radiator useless)
I was just hoping that the engine, trans, and other items from it can be used
