Bring The Spyder Back >>> One is available on B.A.T.
Hey Gang,
I'm likely one of the very few guys who wanted to build a Spyder over the beloved MK-4; however, I still wish Factory Five could have made this car profitable.
Anyway, I saw this on B.A.T. but I don't have the available funds to even consider buying it since we are planning to build a new home in 2021 or 2022.
Hopefully, someone who loves the Spyder as much as I do will pick this one up.

Happy Bidding Y'all!

man, what a good looking car! I had no idea they even made those.

It sure would be fun to see someone take a Gen 3 and chop it up to make a "modern" phantom of this. Not sure how the Gen 3 chassis would respond to cutting up the cage but it would be cool to see one being built.

I begged them to build me one when I ordered my MK-4 kit.
It would have suited the Dark Side Drivetrain far better than the Roadster.
Since the car never existed, it would have been a no harm, no foul kind of build.
Who knows, maybe the time will come when this car makes its way back into production.
I never thought Factory Five would build a Hot Rod much less a Crazy Truck so you never know.

I saw one in person at one of the FFR open houses. of course that was also the open house where EdwardB showed up with his 20th Roadster so I was a bit distracted by that
Not sure who's it was, builders choice the engine was sticking out of the hood and that seems to be a bit of overkill to me. I prefer the clean look of this one on B.A.T.
maybe if we keep bringing it up Dave may re think keeping this one in mothballs.

Not a waxer
It was Mark’s baby, not Dave’s. Not gonna’ come right out and say that’s why there isn’t any interest in resurrecting it but...

Steve, I saw one at an open house a few years back in 2015 I think it was. Myself, not a huge fan and the reason is I find it looks more like two cars seemed together. Again just my opinion and if someone was to give me one, I would not say no but my love is for the roadster. 😁

I agree with you 100%, but the sucker looks good and really suits my peculiar taste.
............The lines of the Spyder are simply elegant, but so are the lines of the Iconic Cobra!

I like the look of the car, but it seems to sit a bit high in the rear for my liking. A better stance would make it look a lot better.

A lower stance would definitely improve the look of the car.
Also, the price isn't climbing very quickly so I doubt it will cross the 25-K mark.
With a supply of less than 40 built, the demand is obviously not there for a car than never existed.
If it were an actual Daytona I feel that it would be well North of 35-K by now.
