Don Shapansky

I learned that Don passed away this week. I think many on here knew him and his hot rod.

I "met" him on here earlier this year when he commented on a post that mentioned my general location. I'm in northern Canada, he was in Texas. He started messaging me and we discovered we knew a lot of the same people, he was familiar with my small rural farm community, AND.... it eventually came out that he knew my parents and had eaten Sunday dinner after church in my parents home on several occasions years ago! What are the odds?! So, likely as a baby, I met Don in my home, but only recently "met" him here and wrote back and forth. He was very kind, friendly, and well-spoken gentleman. I am sure he will be missed here, but he's at Home now.

Sorry to hear about Don's passing. We've lost far to many car guys, met on the car forums, the last few years.

Talk about a small world, nice that you had the chance to connect with him.
