    Cheese and Beer

Several of us have talked about doing another "local" cruise. Sten came up with the idea of heading north and west, ending in New Glarus, WI. This, of course, is the home of New Glarus Brewing Company, whose products are only available in Wisconsin.

I saw Sten in Oshkosh and we talked about doing such a trip in September on a Saturday. However, the brewery and giftshop are closed until October (according to their website), so I'm only listing October dates. Dissenting opinions are welcome.

October 2 with a rain date of October 9
October 9 with a rain date of October 16
October 16 with a rain date of October 23.

Please choose one of the following and reply:

    1. I want September. I'll find a destination and a date other than September 18.
    2. I like the October New Glarus idea. My date preference is: _____
    3. I don't like any of these options, but have this idea: _____________

Sorry all, will be in Cape Coral starting Sept 15 and back only for about 4 days to winterize our Fox Lake place and the boat. We'll catch up next spring/summer. Any of you going to be down in SW Florida over the winter, let me know.

OK, it's October. Let's put a stake in the ground. I believe the last Morris show of the season is 10/9. Weather permitting, maybe we can get some of us to go. (No conflicts for me this month) Also, and this is probably the bigger one - how about Saturday, October 16 for a road trip? (weather permitting, of course)

Back to Morris - a friend in Yorkville suggested we meet there and drive Rt 47 together.

If she's anything like mine she'd probably be happy to get rid of you and would enjoy the peace and quiet (After I spent a long weekend with FFR at the NSRA Nationals Nancy called Dave and asked if he could send me somewhere every month!)

Currently, it is Wednesday, October 13. So what, you say! Well, the plan has been that a bunch of us (hopefully many...) would hop in our cars and head to New Glarus, WI.

I just got off the phone with New Glarus Brewing Company. The lady I spoke with was very nice on the phone, but they aren't going to open for us on Saturday. In fact, they aren't going to open for anybody until "later in the month, but Monday through Friday only". So that's out.

Looks like there is little interest in this activity. No problem, I realize everybody is busy. See you in the spring!
