Florida Speedstar
Hey all.
I've been asked to start a build thread even though I'm waiting on delivery still.
details.....
- Order date 2 Dec 2021
- Build scheduled 18 June 2022
- LS engine (L83 5.3)
- Tremec TKX 5 speed
- 8.8 with 3.55 gears
- Hydraulic clutch
- AC
- Bucket seats
- Tilt and power steering
- 4 link rear
So my garage is a full on gym (wife is a competing bodybuilder) so this build is going to be happening in the driveway under a shade tree.
Anyone else doing that?
Stay tuned.....

You should at least get a carport to work under!
A body building wife should come in handy when you need to move stuff and take the body on and off during the build!
And, when it's time to hang the rear end, she can bench press it like a bar bell while you stick the bolts in!

Congratulations & Looking Forward To Your Build!
Also, consider going with the 3-Link instead of the 4-Link.
The pinion angle adjustment is greatly improved along with the handling.

Or...go with the IRS and get even more handling and ride improvements and no worry with adjusting pinion angle.

Yes, IRS is the way to go if you do not plan on racing it

No reason you can't race one with an IRS, the Type 65 and Cobra guys do it a lot.
