Very cool! I even like the look minus the engine panels, classic hot rod, great stance.
It's really going to scoot with the 392. My GC SRT will do 4.4 0-60 all day long and it 5000+ lbs. Great motor.
I think FFR has a winner with this one. Here's my 37 FYI, gotta love hot rods. Scott

That much power in that light weight of a car takes some serious steel balls to drive fast. I mean check out the picture above. He has to use a jack stand for them...
@Erik W. Treves Can you tell me the tire sizes on this car?
Can't find anything on the Factory Five site giving the particulars.
I am a little delinquent on an update - busy weekend and all - took the Daytona autox'ing so got distracted - the Speedstar is "basically" done - we have a few tweaks to left to do on the hood that we need to work through, but nothing that we can't work through on the final fit.... I was mainly wanting to get this thing out in the sun... it was still kinda dirty from the final assy and still needs final cut and polish - which was done yesterday I think ... but I digress - I have been waiting for the grill to be ready from the chrome shop for a while now - I dropped it off on 4 Feb and after multiple rounds and weeks of call next week to call tomorrow or the next day, I made the command decision to tell them I was on my way up Friday and it better be ready. They promised 8 weeks and we were well beyond than... I wouldn't be so aggressive normally but they are 3 hours away - so basically 7 hours round trip (all day). and actually it was up there to drop it off then up there to pick it up.... anyway - left Friday mid morning and got back around dinner time grill in hand! 9am Sat we put it all together in about 4 and half hours and pushed it out.... It's actually hard to take pictures of the car as the auto focus get lost a bit in the paint. I think a few of the pictures are a little fuzzy because of this - I figured out how to offset the focus point after the first few. Anyway - yes it's that good... painter did a ridiculously good job... lots of hours to get it this slick. The rims still need to be changed out as well - so this isn't the final grad picture - I think we will need to wait for open house for that sorry. Anyway - here ya go....

Permission request to drool further. sir!
Awesome looking, that shape really does it for me!
I love the look of an open-wheel car, but I have to wonder just how much road crap the front tires will sling onto the body sides. Do you have plans for front fenders of any kind or will you leave it this way? If no fenders, how would you protect the body on anything longer than around the block?
Mk IV Roadster - #8650 - delivered 7-17-2015 - first start 7-28-2018 - first go-kart 10-13-2018 - licensed and on the road 9-9-19: body/paint completed 3-17-2020.
Complete kit / 2015 Coyote / TKO600 / IRS / Wilwood brakes / Mid-Shift mod / Power Steering / Heater and Seat Heaters / RT turn signal / Breeze radiator shroud and mount
Regarding the shape, has anything really changed other than the roof profile? Looks like the same grill, same chassis,...
As someone running bike fenders, you are constantly touching up paint on the doors. Had to put PPF on the front of the rear fenders. Consider the full fender option with full running boards if you want a high end paint job that you don't wan to have to constantly touch up...

All done - my part anyway - all polished up and moving Northward... The camera was really having a hard time with paint so I had to focus on the ground or wheels... it's pretty nice - my guys did an awesome job!

the bike fenders will fit on the Speedstar. AS far as how bad the it would be to run it without fenders - not sure, my only exposure to this was on the Hot Rod Power tour and we ran all week well over 1000 miles and no issues at all.... I guess it depends.
here is one with the bike fenders in gel

Sure is a pretty car. you did an excellent job Erik!

yeah - the new chassis for the hotrod is HUGE - but as Jeff mentions - the roof is chopped to get that long low look - my guess would be you would be tight "vertically" - maybe a "Hodgkins bubble" ? For me - I can barely drive it without putting the entire car cover in the seat so I can reach the pedals

I'm 6'3" with a 36" inseam. Picture a hard-boiled egg on stilts, LOL.
So this might actually be a good fit for me...

Paint and bodywork are reeeediculous! Can't imagine the effort to get the body that smooth. Wish I had the skill and determination to do that.
Hi Eric,...
What happened to the Speedstar? Any updates?
thanks
RJ
It is back at FFR with a flame job to match the 33 roadster in the show room.

Must be a reflection, there was no damage when I was there taking pictures.
Looks like a reflection, you can see it, the spot in the middle of the door, and the light reflection on the floor all kinda line up.

Beautiful job or the Black Beast
Any updated pictures of it ?
I would love to see more details on the Hemi fitment as well since I still have a few things to
work out on my 7L Hemi 33
Thanks

3rd Gen 426 six pack Hemi 33
The supplement that FFR has online for installing the hemi has the info you need for putting one in the 33. I hope to be dropping the 5.7 hemi between the frame rails on my Speedstar in the next month or so.
