Some AOD upgrades to keep myself busy
You can't keep an old hot rodder down.
Now that I can stand for a decent length of time and get around with the cane it was time for the AOD trans that I bought along with the engine to get some love:
Mock-up fit of the scatter shield
Neutral safety switch and pigtail harness
Speedometer pick-up block-off plug
AN coolant line fittings
Lokar adjustable shift arm & shaft
Trickflow deep pan with new gasket and fasteners

Narly1, I'm also using an AOD and I love it. I used the Lokar shifter which has a neutral safety switch in the assembly to connect to the N/S in the R/F wiring. I then used the AOD switch to power my backup lights with one pair and to safety my door poppers so they would not open unless in park or neutral. Enjoy the build and stay warm up there!

Those are great ideas, thanks!
It was pretty cold here on Saturday -32C and about -10C yesterday. I have a 2KW ceiling mounted fan heater that keeps 1 bay of my garage cozy after it has a chance to catch up. For now I only heat the one bay, I built a temporary divider wall out of 2" foam insulation and steel studs...works great.

The last piece of the trans upgrade that's been eluding me has finally been sorted out today.
That is finding a supplier for a transmission case shield.
It turns out they were all being made by one guy who retired and sold the business. So with some tireless searching I finally found the new company and placed an order with them.
If anybody's interested they can be found at https://www.mckinneycorp.com/.
Nice people.

Picture of the transmission case shield. It attaches to the case via brackets which pick up on the pan bolts so it will work with any depth of pan (which was one of my concerns).

I'll try to post another picture later once it's installed.
