33 Hot Rod Gas Cap Leaking

My gas cap started leaking seems like not sealing well, is there a way to fix the fitment or any gasket it needs on gap? Or anyone know where u could get a new cap completely.

It this a Gen1 or Gen2 33 HR? Is the "gas cap" leaking or the housing the gas caps screws into?

My Gen2 has an O-Ring on the cap itself which is change able and then the housing has a gasket between the housing and the tank?

If it's Gen1, I know its a different setup so I cannot help with that.

A pic of the exact setup would be helpful as Jim infers.... there's been a few different ways/revisions of the years...

Gen 1, and leaking through cap not the housing, can see a line of fuel running from it down the body

Same location that I have mine installed, gen 1 with a Boyd tank.

Question: I don't understand how can it be leaking, the fuel level doesn't sit that high.

That’s what I was thinking. Seems like it driving hard the fuel spills out. With not even 3/4 or 1/2 tank still spills it thought the cap

Maybe it's your 5G starts off the line

The newest gas cap from FFR looks a little different but I don't know if it seals any better for your situation. Have you tried contacting them to let them know it isn't sealing, they may send out another....

Those 1st gen caps were glued together. You could try to use JB weld on the underside.
    16+ FFR kits and counting!
