Sunday conversation on rear end width

Now I know Fox body width or 94-98 with Fox body axles are where it is at, but I also see some coupe builds that end up using 3/4 to 1 inch wheel spacers. My questions are...
Have some guys used the 94-98 rear end(stock width) in a roadster with success?
Did you make up the 1 1/2" with rim offset or tire size?
If taking the car to track days is not in the plans, is tire rub a concern?
Like I said in the title, just a coversation starter.

If I follow your question correctly..
I'm currently running an SN95 rear end with SN95 axles and disks. 315/35/17 tires on FR500 LMR 10" wheels. 3-point rear end mounting. With no rubbing at all. The tires are close. But, have never rubbed.

That helps!!! So I looked at the Factory Five Halibrand replicas in 17" and the back space is a little differnt than your wheels. I suppose as long as the backspace is in that range, your good either way.
    And your build looks great!!

I have also seen some variation in BS specs. I think different manufacturers use a slight different procedure.

If they measure to the red vs blue arrow that could vary the spec 1/4".
