How big is the size of the mesh for air ducts?

So, I was going to do a mesh covers for the side and bottom front air ducts. FFR sells the side air duct screens but they are on backorder. So I am going to try and make my own. Does anyone know the rough dimensions of those. Car is in the body shop, so I cant measure it myself. My plan is to order flat mesh online and try to form them.

    Any tips or tricks? Thanks!

No idea on what FFR uses but I'm planning similar for side & hood vents and front brake ducts.

I'll probably use 4x4 with the .047 wire or similar. I have some from a previous car that I liked. Need to find the leftovers to evaluate.

Jim, check out onlinemetals.com also. I've found better pricing, shipping and selection there. But look for discount codes...they usually have a deal/sale running with codes.

Breeze also sells them, though I don't see them on their website at the moment. I went with the Breeze brake duct and oil cooler mesh grilles, as I wanted all three to match and FFR only makes brake duct grilles. They came pre-formed and were good quality.

There is a difference. Looks like FFR and Breeze use expanded metal screens. The product in my McMaster link is woven or welded wire. The wire screens will be more difficult to form than expanded metal.

It's all preferences and the "look" that you are after.

I wanted to cover all three openings in a mesh that was smaller than the FFR parts. Got this one I believe from Breeze

BTW used Silicon sealer to mount them

The ones I got from Breeze look different than those. Definitely a larger mesh than what you have. I powder coated them black and glued them in with black Permatex adhesive.
