    MKIV Pin Drive Width

Hello everyone. Working on the MKIV and hit an obstacle. I have an 8.8 rear-end narrowed to 54.25" (2.5"/side). Rims are from vintage wheels with the correct spacing. Also installed willwood big brakes with electronic e-brake. rims, brakes fits perfect but the QA1 interfere with the caliper. If looking at the Driver side, the caliper is at 3oclock and e-brakes at 11oclock. shock mounts were not modified. What is the best path to go? Im leaning to relocate the top mount to the inside of the 2x3 to see if the angle gives me the clearance needed but love to see creative ideas. thanks

I did pin drive wheels with a narrowed 8.8 rear end and Wilwood brakes. The issues I had were with the parking brake cables but I was running the internal drum brake. The second issue I had was clearance between the tire and coilover, I ended up adding a 1/4" spacer to the wheel.

Are you doing the pin drive narrow front end? That was the real fun!
