Bill, I have Leukemia. I have been to stage 4 twice and thru drugs have been brought back to stage zero both times. I live life 4 months at a time. Right now the drugs are working but there is no guarantee that they will continue to work. Early on I decided that I was not going to let any of this get me down. I changed my outlook on life completely. I stopped putting off the things that I knew would make me happy. Building my coupe was one of them!!!! Will this cancer eventually kill me...Yes. But until it does I make it my goal to make every day the best day that I can and try to enjoy life to the fullest!

On a roll
My father had significant heart disease. Obviously not the same as in your case, but the concept is still the same. His Cardiologist gave him 6 months to live, but nobody told my dad. He always had a really upbeat attitude and didn't know that he was on the clock. He lived for many years after that diagnosis. The key in my mind is a positive attitude. It counts for a lot. Clearly you'd be depressed by your situation. Who wouldn't be? My hope is that you can move on from that, adopt a positive attitude and beat this thing.

As the saying goes “Getting old is not for wimps”
Life on this Earth is great fun at times, and incredibly difficult at times. Perhaps ironic, but more likely by design, it is often those difficult times that bring clarity of thought, perspective, and purpose.
For ‘me’, knowing that this world and this life and all its troubles is temporary (“You are but a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes” James 4:14) AND that there is a better place beyond this one, found through Christ Jesus and faith in his promise,…is what gives me hope, and courage, and purpose,….and peace.
Praying for you, for full and rapid recovery,..and that you find your strength, and peace.
