Be careful buying Ford Coyote 5.0 Engine Lift Brackets
A word of caution to potential buyers of the Ford Coyote 5.0 Engine Lift Brackets.
I bought a set of these brackets from TD Motion back in 2018. They fit fine and worked as advertised on my Gen 2 Coyote. Be aware that the RH bracket bolts to the rear of the head, not on the side like the LH bracket does. This is not obvious in the photos on the TD Motion website.
In the '33 Hot Rod and the '35 Hot Rod Truck there is very little clearance between the back of the engine and the firewall, to the point that Coyote users must remove the CMCV parts from the engine and lock the rotors in order to gain a little clearance.
The problem is that there is not enough room to back out the (even shortened) mounting bolts for the RH bracket - so the bracket cannot easily be removed from the engine once it is installed in the car. (Don't ask me how I know!) These brackets should work well for Roadster or Coupe builders, since they have much larger engine bays than the Hot Rod.
My recommendation to builders putting a Coyote into a Hot Rod or Hot Rod Truck is to find a different solution for engine lift brackets.
Also, I suggest that TD Motion add a disclaimer on their Ford Coyote 5.0 Engine Lift Brackets product page to that effect.
