Sharkhide question

I like the aluminum look and have mostly decided to use Sharkhide on all the panels to preserve that look. Does the Sharkhide treatment impact the effectiveness of adhesives? This includes
A) GE #2 silicone on panel to powder coated frame
B) Carpet and/or soundproofing adhesive to panels

I had no problems with applying Carpet, silicone or the soundproofing. I did the same as you I liked the look of the aluminum.

I liked the brush aluminum look too and applied Shark Hide, when I built mine 10 years ago.
I tried applying 2 coats, but never could figure out how to achieve a satisfactory second coat. It always wanted to botch the first coat.
Be aware that some panels (foot box tops) are starting to loose the SH coating after 10 years.

I did the brushed Aluminium thing as well took time and elbow grease then sharkhide - inn case you're curious I attached a picture from early in my build.

I used a DA sander and 80 grit to give the panel a brushed "pattern" then coated with sharkhide.

Like what others have said here, I also liked the aluminum look but I also wanted a coating I could do at home. The additional cost of powder coating was not something that I wanted to do. On my panels, once the Sharkhide had been applied I did not have any adhesion issues, but other than silicone, I don't think I used any adhesive where adhesion strength was required either. If you are really concerned, take a scrap piece of aluminum and treat it with sharkhide as you would a larger complete panel. Adhere something to test the strength of the bond and hang a weight from it. Put this test piece in the shop somewhere and just wait. In time you will or will not see the bond to the sharkhide holds up. A possible test would be to apply a piece of Velcro. We often use it to hold something else in position. Velcro would be an interesting experiment as you are expecting it to maintain the attachment of something. You could then see if the Velcro or the adhesive holding the Velcro gives up first.
