    Drummer Mikes heat shields

I have Drummer Mikes and wondering how important is it to use the woven heat strips provided with the shields and t-clamps. Any tips on how to install the heat strips without getting frustrated?

The woven strips are important and should be used. Frank from i.e.427 Garage posted a nice video on how to install them - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kL1BImy7Ogo
