Hardtop fittment ??????

I'm not a body man but i'm going to learn. The Hardtop is giving me fits, because it doesn't.. lol
I get the back lined up to what I consider perfect, side to side and matching the door openings but then the driver side front has more overhang than the passenger side front. Did y'all have to grind away the bottom of the hardtop in the corner areas? Mine seems very thick which I believe is causing the hardtop not to sit good on the body.

I haven't done this yet myself, but IIRC, other builders have had to grind the bottom of the hardtop and/or build up the body to get things to mate properly. There was even one case where the builder had to bond a reinforcing strip underneath to help straighten a wavy body panel.
