RHK118 - Yes I am going to liner the wheel well panel pieces. I did all my prep/bodywork before the liner. To do the liner first might cause issues later IMO. Although I believe Paul did it that way without issues. Keep in mind that I built mine to the point where I could drive it for a season before completeing it.

Need some upholstery help!
During the past year my upholstery has delaminated. I used marine grade vinyl with foam padding and 3M 77 and 99 spray adhesive. The foam has sticked like gangbusters but the vinyl has pulled up. The part that has delaminated is a sticky gooey mess. I will need to redo it but I need to figure out what I did wrong first. Did I use the wrong vinyl? The wrong adhesive? Did I wait to long for the glue or not long enough? Should I have used a heat gun to soften the vinyl around the edges?
Any suggestions are welcome!!

I’ve never had luck with spray stuff. Anything two part or from a can is going to be better. Short of having a professional spray set up. Lot of different outdoor carpet adhesives like weldwood.

60 degrees at the end of Feb. in the northeast! Who would have thought??
Finished coating the underside of the body over the weekend in this great weather! Next step is to build a body buck for painting and mask off the undercaoting.

Any reason not to put it on the car and mask off? I think many have painted that way.

I was going to paint it also but after discussions with my painter I decided to let him do it. My garage just isn't set up properly nor do I have the proper compressor, spray guns, etc.

Started the process of getting the coupe painted. I did most of the bodywork and a member of the upstate cobra club, who lives near me, is doing the painting. Here is a link to the picture gallery.

A coat of primer/sealer was applied and all of the pin holes were filled with a glaze filler and sanded. The high build primer has been applied.

You know about Mary Kay??? My "X" was a Mary Kay Director. I enjoyed a couple of trips to Dallas for their convention.

All I know about Mary Kay is they had pink Cadillacs that looked identical in color to your car.
Great job on the build.

Your correct. When a Director build her team to a certian level they were given a "company car". There were different levels of cars available with the top level being the pink caddy.
Thanks for the positive feedback on my build. Have watched your videos and would love to see your some day.

When I used it I posted some pics without explanation and figured it would get some reactions. The comments from forum members did not disappoint

While the body is off being painted I have been working on a few things on the chassis.
I was not happy with the battery I had. My first one ended up with a bad cell halfway thru the season last year. I replaced it with the same and just was not happy with it. Cold starts were ok but hot starts scared me. Others have used this same battery without issue but I was not happy. I chose to replace it with a much larger battery which required a new battery box also. This battery has 1150 CCA so it should do a lot better with hot starting.
I also decided to add remote battery terminals. Will make it a lot easier if I need to jump.

Sarcasm noted.
I saw a new Tahoe today with one of the most awesome medium dark metallic reds I have every seen. I will being trying to replicate that color on my coupe. I used House of Kolor products and their semi-candy Apple Red is amazing by itself but it is a bit lighter in color. I think painting the apple red over a black or dark red base should get me close.
MK4 base kit, 2004 Mach 1 donor, 4.6L DOHC, TR-3650 5-speed, narrowed stock axle with 3.55 gears and TruTrac, PS, PB, ABS, 17" Halibrand replica wheels, started 12/2011, registered 9/2014, sold 3/1/2018.
1970 Mustang Fastback Coyote powered Boss 302 tribute. Started 10/14/16.
Gen 3 Coupe Base Kit non-donor build. Ordered 4/5/2024 to be received August 2024.

My Type 65 Coupe: Ordered May 27, 2021. Arrived November 19, 2021.
I would like to treat my gas pedal as a binary operator. It would be nice to get the cooperation of everyone in front of me.

I was really concerned about doing this and have been putting it off. Because I will be getting the painted body back in a week or two I needed to man up and give it a shot but as you said it wasn't so hard at all! Was easier than anticipated and came out better than I expected. CI tomorrow and then on to the other project I have not been looking forward to .... carpet!
