    Windscreen issues

I'm curious to know how far it is safe to flex a laminated windscreen? My window sits about 1/2" high on the bottom right hand side, and my installer wasn't keen to pull it down....

As an aside , I strongly recommend the screen be trial fitted during the prep phase... it doesn't seem to fit the hole very well.

You need to cut the corner off in the pax side so it will sit down completely.

I had to trim my windscreen across the top about 1/8". After doing that it fits in the opening without much bending needed. The fit is still tight though.

Drill, grinding wheel, water and about 4hrs. Makes a lot of mess and is a painfully slow process. Others recommended I take it to a glass shop. Hindsight...........

Fixed by building up the bottom rhs of the windscreen pillar about 1/2". Also had to grind along the top of the screen recess by about 3/16" .

Gaps now good, screen fits without needing any bending.

So you were able to fix everything by adjusting the fiberglass body?

A few hours work with body filler and it's all good.

Nice, I am in the same boat and was worried it was going to require dome flass grinding.
