    Air Conditioning

    I have a first gen hot rod truck with FFR supplied air conditioning kit. Can anyone please tell me how ,many oz. of 134a freon it takes.

    According to the manual you need 2 12 oz cans of 134- refrigerant plus one 12 0z can of R134-A first charge.

    36 oz seems like too much, the truck AC (Vintage Air??) must be about the same as the Gen 1 hotrod.
    I think I used two 12 oz cans. The readings on the gauge set should give you an indication if you need more.
    See what your temp is coming out of the vents before you add more. I just checked mine 2 days ago when it was 95ºF, the vents were reading 37ºF.
