    Front Shocks over extended?

While we are on the subject of shocks. How do you keep this from happening?

To get the front suspension set right, I had to lower the spring seat on the adjustment sleeve. Now, when I jack the front of the truck up, the shock extends beyond the length of the spring. Do I need limiting straps?

Seems like you have the wrong shocks. My 33 which has the same front suspension as the 35 requires over an inch of preload beyond the 1/4" I put on them when I put them together to get an acceptable ride height. The springs are still preloaded when the suspension is hanging.

the manual calls for the shock body at 15.15" center to center, That's what I used.

All depends on the combo of shocks, springs (length and rate) and ride height.

I deliberately run shorter, stiffer springs.. others the exact opposite.

Helper springs are commonly needed.. not unusual.
