    AC delete from Blueprint Engine

I ordered a blueprint engine with the ac option, thinking I wanted to install ac. I’m having second thoughts and wondered if there is anything I need to do to the engine/ac accessory if I decide to leave it out? I’m a novice so basic explanations are appreciated!

It'll require a change to belt routing and likely different front dress bracketry and method of tensioning.

I had a customer do the same thing. Unbolt the A/C unit and get a shorter belt. Thats it.

Can you show us a pic of the front of the engine w/ the AC compressor?

Another option is to just leave it there. No harm in it.

The compressor is lower left in the pic correct? If so I'd pop the belt off the compressor and hand hold it in place crank to tensioner to alt to see if the tensioner would still work. If it doesn't, maybe another would, or you could try to find a bracket to hold an idler pulley in place of the compressor. Ask Blueprint what they use w/o AC.

FWIW, here's a pic of my BPE 347 sans AC and PS. The idler on the right is probably where the PS pump would go.
