Gen 1 Coyote Oil Pressure Sender Donor ECU
Hi all, I am almost ready to drop the engine in, but just seeing if anyone has had issues with the instructions regarding replacing the stock oil pressure sender. My engine came with the donor ecu with pats deleted, and all the wiring harnesses. I understand the control pack computers dont look at that sending unit, but not sure if I will have issues not using it with donor computer. Also, is it possible to just leave the stock sending unit and splice the RF wires in to run to the gauge? I have the Platinum gauges if that helps.
Thanks!

You can T off of it for your gauge. Your gauge will not rear the ford sender.

Thanks! Makes sense. I will source a tee fitting and splice it in. Running a donor setup seemed like a good idea at the time, especially since it was free with the engine, but I can see the benefits of the other way.

Now I feel like a dummy. I ordered the gen 3 coyote install kit with my roadster so it actually came with the tee fitting. I have a gen 1 coyote but the gen 3 needs the stock sending unit along with the other, hence the tee. All sorted now!
