Body Work and Paint - Near Wisconsin
With lead times being typically long, I thought I would start lookinig for and hopefully get a spot on a waiting list. I'm struggling to find a shop in the NE Wisconsin area that will take on my Mk4. Seems like everyone wants to do collision repair. Has anyone in Wisconsin found a shop willing to do a FFR car for a reasonable price? I did find a guy willing to try but gave a "I don't really want to do it price" of $20-25k. I'm more than willing to ship or haul the car.

I can't help you with resources in WI, but you do have Jeff Kleiner in Bloomington, IN. Looks like about 6.5hr drive for you. I'm having him do mine, and I'm an 8 hour drive from him. I think he's booked until late 2025 or early 2026. I'm happy to wait that long for one of the few remaining experts on FFR bodywork. Da Bat hung it up, and Ken Pike is on the west coast (I'm in KS), so I'll happily drive 8 hours twice to use a guy who knows these cars better than 95% of us. JMO.

Greg, based on everything I’ve read, I agree that Jeff is worth waiting for to get it done right. What’s the best way to get ahold of him? I sent him a PM but didn’t hear back.

Sorry Rob, looks like you sent a PM on the 22nd. Been a little busy; was at FFR for 4 days last week and returned Sunday to a brother in law who just entered hospice so have been with family dealing with that. I’ll get a reply off to you over the weekend.
Thanks,
Jeff

Take care, my friend! Thinking about you and your family.
