    How to post pictures

Here's how to post pics in your posts.
I've found the easiest way is upload them to PhotoBucket.com. The nice thing about Photopucket is it puts the image code in for you. Upload the pic then you can just click on IMG Code and it copies the link with the code to place them in your posts. Then just paste using CTRL + V or right click and select paste.
this is what the album pic looks like, you can place the cursor over any pic and the link menu opens to allow you to select the image links.

If you have any questions about other photo hosting sites like Flikr, post them up and I'll help you out

Don't know if this has been addresses anywhere on the site in the last 3 years, but this thread still comes up as the first search hit.

    To post from google photos:

Got to your photo in google photos
Right click and select "open image in new tab"
Copy the url of the new tab

Select the add photo button for the forum post
    Click "from url"
Make sure "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" is selected
    Paste URL and click OK

Won't use photobucket ($5/mo.) -- I'll keep looking at the Forum's suggestions for picture posting... -Steve

I've found the forum image upload tool to be very friendly. Hover your mouse over the icons above the Quick Reply box you are writing. The third icon from the right will say "Insert Image" when you hover over it with your cursor. Click on it. It brings up a dialogue box with two tabs. You can upload an image that has a specific URL associated with it, or you can choose to upload from your computer. So far I have only used the From Computer tab. On that tab click on "Choose Files". It will open a window where you can navigate to wherever you have your images stored. Once you locate the image you want to upload, select it, and click open. The Insert Image dialogue box will reappear showing the name of the file you selected beside the "Choose File" box. Now click on "Upload File" below the "Choose File" box. NOTE: there will be a delay. What a few seconds for the upload to take place. The Insert Image dialogue box will disappear, and the inserted image information will show up in your Quick Reply box. It will look something like this ATTACH=CONFIG]2079[/ATTACH. Once you send it will show up as a thumbnail or viewable photo in your post. Some other important points:
    > Make sure the image you are uploading is resized to below 2M and no larger than 2000 x 2000.
    > Mine always upload as thumbnails. I haven't figured out how to get them to upload as regular sized photos that can be viewed in the Quick Reply directly.
    > My thumbnails always upload rotated 90 degrees. I haven't figured out why, but in some respects it doesn't matter because when you click on them and they open up, they are oriented correctly.

Once I figure out how to upload photos so they can be viewed directly in the post, instead of as thumbnails that have to be opened, I'll edit this accordingly.

    Hope this helps.

I am relatively new here but my understanding is you must use the Gallery if you want to upload full size photos into a thread. The forum does not allow for direct insertion (at least I haven't found a way to do it) so I use Google Photos to essentially store my photos then upload to the Gallery and from there upload to my thread. It's a little tedious but it does work. If anyone knows a more direct path I would love to hear it.
