Gen 1 Coyote ignition wiring help please
I have a donor ecu with the pats deleted so decided to go with the power by the hour harness, which is similar to the ford control pack harness. The ffr coyote instructions show connecting the ignition and start wires to the orange and blue wires on the ron francis harness, but power by the hour shows their leads direct to the ignition switch. Looking at the ron francis diagram it looks like the blue wire lead goes to the start side of the ignition and the orange feeds the relay that controls the fuel pump and then on to the ignition switch. As the wires end up at the ignition switch from what I am seeing should I just connect the leads from the power by the hour harness to the switch or wire per the ffr coyote instructions? I am not using the clutch safety switch for the wilwood pedal box but the one with the coyote harness.
I just dont want to possibly run the risk of worst case blowing relays or something.
Thanks!

Ok I figured out what goes to what....The thing that was throwing me off was reading about how the fuel pump should only run a few seconds then shut off. But that was a gen 2 thing and I have a gen 1 and it seems it will just run all the time. The obd2 scanner wouldnt even connect with the wires not hooked up right. So to answer part of my own question, on the power by the hour setup the yellow wire goes to the ron francis efi orange wire and the blues goes together. If luck holds out I will try for a first start tomorrow!

Correct. Gen1 ECM runs fuel pump whenever ignition is on.
Good luck with first start.
