The provided door window seal look terrible once I got it installed....maybe i screwed it up, who knows. What have others done other then the FFR provided rubber/felt seals?

I spent a long time fiddling with it. I looked for alternatives but didn't find anything so just got through it. Eventually turned out OK.

Same problem with the 33 Hotrod windows.

I found the seals to be quite straight forward on my Speedstar. The seal around the opening on the roof does not have felt on it. Only the seals in the top of the door on either side of the glass have the felt.

Your car is different than the truck. Truck has trim around all 4 sides on the DOOR. Thats the issue.
My solution finally! I ordered a new set from FFR and will have my glass guy install it. That should brevent most of the self imposed screw up's.:-)
