289 FIA first start, but none of the gauges work

It started and ran great, but none of the gauges record their intended readings. Gauge lights work, but they don't register the gauge readings. Any thoughts/suggestions for a cure. Is the basic gauge set, "16009 - 289 style GPS Gauges (mph)" that comes with the 289 kit. Please advise.

    Thanks - Fred

Do they react when your cycle the key? If not they are not getting power or ground. Check connections at the dash plug as well as the fuse.

hmmmm. I will check tomorrow. I figured because they lit up they had power and ground, but I'll do a diagnostics check tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion Mike.

Problem solved. I had mistakenly hooked up the wrong brown wire to the ignition switch. Should have been the ACC IGN FEED wire. I think that's how it's referenced. Anyway gauges react now and I will do a start up this afternoon to test beyond that. Onward.
