new record for build
Hello Gents:
I must hold the new record for a FFR 65 build. I could not get past the very first step! The manual doesn't add up. On installing the power steering rack the manual shows two solid poly bushings to use with steel sleeve inserts and 4"x1/2 bolts grade 8 bolts.(first pic) My rack they sent me has something pre-installed that looks more like soft boots that can't possibly fit between the car frame mounts. (second pic) I would have to cut them down. What the heck?

You need to knock those out and find the correct parts through your parts list.

I briefly had a head-scratcher here, too, on my Roadster build, so don't feel bad. The manual is a guide at best, and you'll find that you probably won't use it much after you get the suspension installed. At least that was the case on my two Roadster builds. As Mike says, push out what's there, and replace with rubber inserts elsewhere in your parts list.
