Built an early MkIII years ago, sold years ago. Back after 18 years to build a MkIV Build Thread Here Partners: Levy Racing, Summit Racing, LMR, Breeze, Forte's Parts, Speedhut, Amazon
MkIV Complete Kit Ordered 4/18/23, Delivered 7/11/23, Boss 427W, Edelbrock Pro Flo 4, TKX (.68 5th), IRS, Wilwood Brakes, 18" Halibrands, Toyo R888R Tires, Custom Speedhut Gauges
This second car was for a friend. Late in the build, "life" happened and he could not afford it. However, we have had so much fun building both cars that now we are talking about a third. lol. I have 2 friends that come over every Sunday and we have the best time. Burritos, Beer, Buddies, Build. All 3 of us are close to retirement and we think this may be a great hobby - eventually. I invested in all tools we need including a paint booth. Might as well keep using them I say.
MKIV Roadster complete kit, production 9/2022 | IRS | Leather | Blue Print Engines Ford 306 EFI | 2022 GM Hypersonic Gray Metallic Paint with carbon fiber 3D racing stripes | 18in Halibrand wheels | Falken Azenis 255/35 and 315/30 RT660 tires | Dual Roll Bars | FFR GPS Vintage Guage Set | Front and Rear sway bars | Carbon fiber dash | Lots of cool stuff from Breeze Automotive, Watson's Street Works, Cobra-Herb, Mike Forte Racing, 520 Speed Works, Mike's Custom Cobra, Drummer Mike, Vraptor, GasN
Good luck, this would reset the market if it goes anywhere near what your asking.
I know what you mean. I track several websites of sales. We'll see what happens. I am in no hurry to sell. Actual cost to build was 50K. That doesn't include the 400+ hours of labor. I am positive that our Mk4 builders out there don't work for free. I have seen some crazy things in this area over the last 4 months. One guy interested in the car instead dropped 93K on a 35 year old Back Draft Cobra replica just because he wanted a 427. Another gentleman sold his 1982 build Cobra at a car show for 88K. One guy bought a 20 yo Cobra replica with a Rouch 347? for 75K. Only difference was the engines. The car build quality was in now way superior to a Factory Five that I could see. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the madness continues down this way. lol.

I wish you the best of luck to get the best price possible. Not going to comment amount the actual amount other than that. But these comments: Backdraft and Superformance will typically out-price Factory Five. Not going to argue the merits. Just the way it is. The gap used to be significant since I've been following. But it's closing as Factory Five continues to improve their product and the builds are better. But the market is still going to be higher for those. As a private builder and seller, if you can sell for what you have in it, you're fortunate. I've built and sold four and while I've come close, haven't covered yet. All nice builds. Of course there are exceptions, but being paid for your labor is challenging.
Edit: This post isn't meant to discourage or state any opinion about the asking price. Only to give context to several comments from the OP. I was trying to be helpful but see it could be interpreted differently. If it's offensive or in any way negative, I apologize. I would delete it, except it's been quoted in another post, so it's not going away.

edwardb, can you please PM me, your box is full. Looking for pictures of your Mechanical Throttle Linkage build as they are no longer on the thread. Thx!
You gotta’ love it when someone lists a car for sale and gets unsolicited comments expressing veiled opinions that it’s priced too high, or as happened when I sold mine recently that it’s priced too low.
A car or any vehicle is only worth what the right person is willing to pay. 1. As an example I met a fellow via E-Bay back in late 2021 because he was selling a cool Flat Nose Ford. 2. He wanted $30,000.00 but I was only willing to give him $25,000.00 so the deal didn't happen. 3. I suggested he use BAT, which he had not heard of, and the truck yielded $47,000.00.
We're now good friends and he's now driving a Super Cool Beck Spyder.

You know what, Jeff? You're absolutely right. I've edited my comment. Bad post on my part. My apologies to OP; that was a bad look.
