Wipers Installed
With the hope of finishing up the last of the big mechanical installations behind the dash, I got the wipers installed.
To figure out my layout I set my priorities as follows:
- The wipers must look good when parked, parallel to bottom of glass
- They should provide good visibility for the driver in the rain
- The visibility for the passenger is not so important
I started as others have with cardboard.

I'm using the WWK2 wiper kit from Specialty Power Windows, SSBR stainless wiper arms and SS11 blades. These are "bent right" arms.
I wound up with 110 degree sweep, mounting points 0.375 inch above cowl, 8.5 inch arm length.
The pivots are 21 inch between centers and the left side pivot is about 8.5 inches from the edge of glass.

I did cut the pivots down in length after the above picture.
Here's what it looks like behind the dash. The arch in the tubing on the right side is to make it just a bit easier to get the A/C duct over to the right side of the dash vent. (still more to do to tidy up wiring).

It looks like it's going to work. The first time out in the rain will tell. The operation seems quiet and smooth.

Very nice, I am just starting the same process. I have the same drive system, but am using 10 inch billet arms. I do like your process in determining the location of the pivots. Now, if only I had a source for cardboard?
Wipers.jpg Done.
