    body work

    Hello all!
I am working on the body work for the coupe and would like some advice. On the fiberglass join parallel with the rear hatch from about 1/3 of the way from the roof to just past the fuel filler hole is a ~1/32 difference in height. to fill this I will have to fill around the fuel filler hole. My thought was to tape some stiff butcher paper sticking out from around the hole to keep the shape and angle correct. Does this make sense?

You’re better off sanding the high gel coat than adding filler.

Only 1/32”! You got one of the good ones Knock down the high and fill the low.
