    Brake Bias Question

    Hello everyone,
I'm noticing that my rear rotors are showing significantly more wear than my front (6000k miles).
When I test them, the fronts lock up slightly before the rear so I feel its set up correctly, however I'm wondering if my rears are engaging sooner and therefore more often. Is there some way to get the fronts to engage sooner under light braking?
Or am I chasing something I shouldn't be worrying about?
Picked up kit 9/6/22. Complete Roadster Kit, IRS, 18" wheels, Forte 302, T5. First build. No auto mechanical experience and beyond excited to learn. Loaded with "Empty Nester" time and energy. Link to my build videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgX...uCWGcelzGecm1Q

Make sure the parking brake is releasing and not dragging.

If you have independent front and rear master cylinders, check for some free play in the rear master cyl push rod.
You need this to make sure the piston returns fully.

Here's my brainy idea: (not there yet on my Mk IV build...)
Use a hand-held IR pyrometer. Drive at say 50mph, brake with medium effort perhaps three times, then quickly record the temperatures of the front vs. rear discs.
Do this a couple of times and consider the temperature delta. Maybe repeat with higher-effort braking (allowing some driving in between for a little disc cooling).
Maybe the experience with this (temp data) from the group, will help to "quantify" what otherwise is a very subjective effort of trying to "just lock the fronts before the rears lock" or other techniques.
    Ideas...?

I would check for a dragging parking brake first. What setup do you have?
Your rears should pretty much never lock. I see a lot of people that think all four locking at the same time is perfect. It is a perfect way to end up in a ditch. A big function of the rears are to act like rudders......but only when that are turning.
