    Hatch Area Rear Wall fitting

Quick question on the hatch area rear wall - in the manual it is riveted in place after the body is installed, however, I would like to still have access to the rear of the car once it is completed and thus want to make the rear wall removable.

My plan is to use rivnuts to the frame, a couple on the side walls and then at the top for fastening the body to the wall.

Am i correct in assuming, that the rear wall is in the same position for all the builds, since it is fastened to the side walls which are fixed in place? And that i can drill and rivnut rear wall without having the body on?

Any better ideas on how to make the rear wall removable?

    Thanks,
    Nick

Rivnuts on base for me. Then two more on either side of the hatch latch. The weatherstrip on top of that aluminum piece keeps it pretty well in place.

    Thanks!

Did you not use any fasteners at the top of the rear wall to fasten the body to it?
