Breeze seat mounts - install sequence
Maybe a stupid question...
I know final seat placement should ideally occur after the body is fitted, but does that imply that the Breeze seat mounts should also be done at that time, or is it ok to mount them before the body because you can move the seat if there are body clearance issues?

You can not easily move the mounts after they are installed. They are riveted to the floor, using SS rivets.

I'd wait till the body was installed; with the cockpit pretty completed a lot of builders rotate the DS seat to the left to have your legs going towards the peddles, the seat mount has to follow the final orientation. A few other things to take into consideration is the position of the seat against the back wall of the cockpit, the body comes over the backwall a bit, and possible interference between the outside edge of the seat and the body of the car. The seats fit kinds snug in There. Jeff Kleiner explains this really well in "Papa's Roadster build thread. This being said I used the FF kit seats.

Thanks Rich, actually what I meant is that the seat can be adjusted forward if needed to clear the body. Agree that the mount itself is permanent, or close to it.

What seats are you using? Low back seats won’t interfere with the rear cockpit body, but you’ll want the body on to understand where the outside arm will sit relative to the body. I put the body on temporarily and got the seats and bases fit.
