Please move #991 from Evans, GA to Pooler, GA (near Savannah). Decided to retire a little early. Work-Life balance was out of balance and COVID changed my focus. So, wife and I downsized and moved. Now, more time for the wife, the hot rod, and life.

I've been retired nine-years now and it's the best thing I've done in my career. Can't believe it, but I'm busier than ever in retirement. I'll work until I die but it won't be for some corporation, it'll be doing what I want to do and on my schedule.
Good luck and I think you made the right choice.

The replica is more of a "korenmolen", the wings are not close to the ground as a "grondzeiler" (these are typical for pumping purposes in remote areas). The korenmolen had its wings elevated so acces to the windmill was a lot safer!
We have a korenmolen still in the middle of my village, it is being renovated at the moment, but when it is working you can buy flour milled by it for pancakes and some of the local bakers use it for "molenbrood".

Hey!
Would you change my address to: 9618 Wildwood Ridge, San Antonio, TX 78250 for #490 (Gen 1).
And I'm at about 90% completion. Just trying to get a new headlight so I can start the title dance at DPS!
Thanks!

An update: Yep, the map is gone. I spoke to Geoff (the original creator) and he can't see it either. No-one knows why ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So our only option is to recreate from scratch using this thread, which will take some time and I'm not sure it's worth it. I loved having it and updating it but we only had ~dozen updates in the last year.. and we have no idea how many people ever looked?
I'm guessing we should unpin this?

I believe I remember something about Google discontinuing this service. We used it on our trade association and lost our map a while ago. Scott

I'm sad to see our map is gone, too. I was just checking and was going to change my mileage to 12,500 since 2009. I've not driven it as much in recent years but will be adding 2400 miles come June on the Hot Rod Power Tour (middle South route).
It's hard to imagine there are 1100+ kits out there when mine is #007!
Keep working and get them On The Road!

My understanding is that Google Maps disabled this feature several years ago. (It was a website I visited 4-5 times a year.) I don't know enough about the current version of Maps to say if a builder map is feasible these days. If it is, please add HR #894 as "in progress" (perpetually, it seems) in Simi Valley, CA.
Cheers! Keith
I have it on my list to revisit the current Maps and see if this is possible again. It was certainly useful.

The biggest requirement is that we keep the data outside Google Maps, probably in a Google sheet. Google Maps allows us to import from there, and keeping it in a sheet means that we don't mind (as much) if it disappears again. But the CSV/WTK format isn't as nice as I'd like - I was hoping it could contain city/state rather than lat/lon. Anyway, I'm working on it.

Thanks! I agree that it was useful, and would be nice to have again.

How are we coming with this? It would be great to see where everyone is
I haven't found a way yet to do what we need. At least for free. But I haven't spent more than a few hours looking - if you/anyone can find a way to import a CSV of city/state into google maps I'd love to use it. Or an API to convert city/state data into lat/lon (which I can import).

Ok, folks, let's try something new. I've created a Google map and given everyone permission to add/edit themselves. We're all friends here, right?
Obviously, this is not without risk, so you're all on your honor to treat this with respect. I'll be backing up the data regularly, but I still have enough faith in humanity that everyone will do the right thing!
Here's the map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?m...4k&usp=sharing
And here are some instructions: https://scribehow.com/shared/Add_you...SmCNnHA3QMTlTw
Go for it! Let's see how well this works
