A custom helmet for my Type-65 Coupe, D8YTONA, for upcoming track days

Here's a DIY custom helmet for my Type-65 Coupe, D8YTONA for upcoming shows and track days.

Helmet is a G-Force Racing GF-1 Open Face, White

I DIY'd the painting of this helmet myself following the typical stripes and car painting process for most Cobras.
Removed the helmet bill. Prep., sand and tape off. I did use aerosol spray paint cans due to the small coverage area. Sray paint base primer gray, spray paint the Base White on the central area of the helmet. Precisely tape cover the exact area desired for the two stripes. Spray paint the entire helmet in the desired primary color, ford Performance blue (FM), in this case just the car. Carefully remove just the tape covering the two helmet stripes. Touch up as necessary. Spray paint the clear. Note that multiple (3-4) coats were used for every paint application with appropriate drying times between each. Carefully remove all tapes and re-assemble the bill to the helmet. DONE

    Here's some of my inspiration:

    Here's the finished result:

Here's the debut at the Oct-5 Scuderia Southwest Motorsports Gathering (cars & coffee) in Scottsdale, AZ:

The car looks awesome and fits right in with the other supercars Okay maybe not but way cooler! Paint job looks great and that close to the color scheme I wanted
but got a partially built Coupe already painted. What do you have in place of the side vents behind your side windows? It looks really good and Im close to installing windows.
Oh and by the way the helmet is definitely cool and would recommend a matching racing jersey!

    Brandon603,
The Rear-Quarter AND Door Windows have been subtly, but at the same time significantly custom modified on my coupe. The customizations were all a part of my "Replimod-GT" build of my Coupe.
I've posted in this forum a few of the more significant custom mods and their actual design and build processes.

Regarding the Rear-Quarter window, the shape has been changed and there's a shaped piece of gray-tinted clear Lexan in place. The Lexan-Pane is removable with maybe a half hours' worth of work on each side and could be replaced with a scoop version or some other styled version (Viper-like for instance).

Anyway, here's the link to my FFR Forum "D8YTONA Custom Features Explained" post that explains and shows much of the Side Windows Custom Mod.
(Warning: extensive, not for the faint of heart):
