Can anyone point me in the direction of any potential Mark V discussions? Through my initial searches, I have not come across any and wasn't sure if there were already a few posts about the topic. Didn't want to be "that guy"

I do not think FFR is planning an Mk5. They recently updated the body on the Mk4 so maybe you can call it an Mk4.1

Since the last good donor candidate was a 2004, it would sure be nice if a newer version could take advantage of more parts from a late model Mustang. People looking at a newer Mustang as a donor candidate are usually surprised how little can be used as not much more is directly applicable than the engine and IRS. I believe this is the reason so many use all new parts for their builds. The cheap entry level builds we saw more than 10 years ago going back to the beginning with the MK1 just don't get built anymore. This is sad as it has made the hobby too expensive for some that would otherwise love to build one.
MK4 base kit, 2004 Mach 1 donor, 4.6L DOHC, TR-3650 5-speed, narrowed stock axle with 3.55 gears and TruTrac, PS, PB, ABS, 17" Halibrand replica wheels, started 12/2011, registered 9/2014, sold 3/1/2018.
1970 Mustang Fastback Coyote powered Boss 302 tribute. Started 10/14/16.
Gen 3 Coupe Base Kit non-donor build. Ordered 4/5/2024 to be received August 2024.
I tend to agree with you Alan. The more research that I do, I'm finding the benefits of finding a donor car are starting to be outweighed by more and more modifications to be done/less usable parts vs just purchasing the complete package from FFR and saving yourself alot of time and hassle.
I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a manual but wasn't sure how current this version may be. Does anyone know if Revision 4W, October 2019 has any major revisions since?
I haven't looked at engine/trans but you can save some $ by buying an IRS takeout on a pallet. Get one w/ the oem brakes and save even more. Those brakes pair very well w/ the standard FFR supplied front brakes and the built-in park brake works great.
FFR MkII, 408W, Tremec TKO 500, 2015 IRS, DA QA1s, Forte front bar, APE hardtop.
Just saw a video of the mk5,
