Anyone running a Mechanical fuel pump in a 33HR??

I am deciding If I want a mechanical fuel pump For the simplicity (also because i already have a new one) And
    an Electric Fuel pump
FYI I will be running a Carb NOT EFI
One big question is will a mechanical pump even fit this chassis ??
I'm running a 351C and my pump looks like one of these:

I used a mechanical on my SBC, for simplicity and reliability.. and it failed before I even had it on the road. So I bought a cheap electric and put a spare in the trunk just in case. Been working perfectly ever since ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
