To cut-out or not to cut-out???
I initially placed my coupe order with cut outs marked but not cut, should I just get them cut?
I am very proficient in hole saws and sawzalls, but they do it every day.
My concern is that I have read of cutouts not matching side to side, like the vent cut-outs on the side of the hoods.
I may or may not have a little OCD, but nobody has proven it yet.
Thanks for your help,
Steve

I ordered mine with the cutouts. I think I was doing some labor math and thought "well, for $150 it's probably worth it". I suppose they can always be adjusted if the cutting goes astray.
Coupe complete kit ordered: 9/26/24. Gen 4 Coyote. T-56. IRS w/3.73. Wilwoods. PS. HVAC. Side windows.

For the roadster well worth it, but I think the Coupe it is pretty easy to get by with the templates in the manual if you think you should have no problems.
Lot less with the Coupe since the rollbar, windshield, and taillights are all different.

That's what's making me question myself. How much is my time worth vs. how long to lay them out and cut.

Save 150 bucks put it towards another option

How many cut-outs are there?
Headlights
Side vents
Gas filler
Tail lights
Anything else?

If I was to do it again I would skip the cut outs. Easy to do and you will be doing a lot of fitting anyway.

I ordered my Coupe-R with no cutouts and it arrived with the nose having rough cutouts, including headlights (with headlight mounting holes drilled? Maybe my hood was used?), side vents, radiator outlet (I understand they all have the radiator and nose cutouts) and side pipe cut outs were done. The aft body had only the gas filler cutout - no taillights or rear vents cut out - which I believe is normal even if you order cutouts, they don't do the taillights, and maybe not the aft vents?
On my 289, I ordered cutouts, but the only parts they cutout were the headlights and side vents, which were rough and needed further trimming which is normal. They did not cut out the nose scoop or remove the return flange in the trunk cutout, so not sure why I paid the $150. I recommend no cutouts, save the cash as stated above.

Many details on my Coupe-R are different from a typical Coupe build because mine is not street legal, race only.
