    Subwoofer and MSD proximity problem?

I am installing a Bluetooth stereo in my car, JBL Cruise-X speakers and a JBL Nanosub. I am looking at possibly hanging the sub under the "roof" of the passenger footwell. I noticed the magnet in the sub is very strong, and I have the MSD ignition box mounted on top of the footwell. I estimate the distance between the sub and the MSD box would be about one inch. I am concerned the magnet will disturb or even damage the MSD ignition. Thoughts anyone?

I would give Holley a call, they have been really helpful in the past when I have had questions.

From a long time ago, they used to put a magnet on the back of the speaker magnet to nullify lines of flux. This was done so they wouldn't affect the CRT of the TV. I told you it was a long time ago. I wonder if this would take care of any problems you might encounter.

Thank you, didn’t know they had that brand. I’ve posted a question on their site.

Maybe, didn’t know that was possible. I’ve asked Holley on their site, will see what they say. Planning on making a slide out rack to mount the sub on. Maybe it would work as a shield if I make it out of regular steel?
