    New FFR MK5

    Hello

I am going to be ordering a 289 kit this year. I have seen that FFR is going to be upgrading
the MK 4. Will they also be upgrading the 289 kit as well.

    Thanks for your help

The engineers are working on finishing getting the Mk5 launched, and as of right now, the 289 USRRC/FIA kit will continue using the Mk4 frame. They are discussing their plans for the 289, and we do not have a timeline on if and when the chassis for the 289 will be updated. Stay tuned for more updates as we'll share the info as it becomes available.

Give us a call at 508-291-3443 or email [email protected], and our techs can also help answer any questions you have as you plan out your 289 build.

    Mad Dog,

Suggest to Dave Smith to keep the 289 FIA as is using the round tube chassis but bring back the Type-65 Spyder with a space frame.
That car is ready to be reborn and would make a huge impact because it would be 100% unique as a Factory-5 creation.
The G.T.M. is dead and gone and so is the 818 so why not revisit this totally this great looking car?
As for me I'd be happy to buy and build the first production model.

Great idea; especially Factory-5 could use the current Miata MX-5 windshield and drop top.
